A Photography

Hi, everybody! How's the semester going?. Well, I must say this isn't my best photography, but I'm dating my brother. His name is Felipe, we look a lot alike, as you can see.
He studied engineering in Bioprocesses, and because of life and work things, he went to work for a salmon company in Puerto Varas. We did not see each other for a year, until the summer of 2019 when I traveled to visit him.

This photograph reminds me of that beautiful summer, when we toured around all the cities and towns surrounding Lake Llanquihue. I must say that all the towns are beautiful and have a typical character that makes them unique.
The food from the south of Chile is very rich, I tried delicious cakes in Frutillar and some very good craft beers in Puerto Varas.

Unfortunately I can only see my brother once a year, usually in the summer, for work and study. But when the opportunity arises I make the most of it.
At the beginning of this year, my brother changed his job, and now he lives in Cochrane, so I already have a place to vacation next summer!

See you in the next post!

Music

Hi everyone, since I was a little girl I have loved listening to music. I have very good references, because my parents like good music.
I grew up listening to Queen, The police, Metallica, Europe, The rolling stone from my father's side. On my mother's side, Los Prisioneros, Cyndi Lauper, Madonna, Chayanne (praise her), La Oreja de Van Gohg.
At first, influenced by my father, I was a queen fan.
Over time, friendships and getting to know other styles made me learn to value other genres of music, such as jazz, ska, pop, dance hall, and many more.

The truth is, I don't have a favorite style of music, much less a favorite singer or band. In fact, if you can see my spotify list you will think this is crazy... artists range from Pink floyd, Miles Davis, Billie Eilish, Mon Laferte, Crumb, Bjork Dua Lipa, Charlie Parker, Ska-p, Daft Punk, Lady Gaga, Depeche Mode, SOD, Openings of anime, movie soundtracks and many others.

Anyway, I love music and it's a must in my life.

see you!

My favorite piece of technology

Hi guys; I'm telling you that. I'm a very technology dependent person. I've lived my whole life exposed to technological stimuli. I'm addicted to the internet.
I think my most indispensable piece of technology is the smart phone, absolutely.

Even though I use the computer a lot to perform tasks from my home. The smart phone can easily replace the benefits that a computer can give me. In addition to being an easy to carry, very comfortable device, it can have a thousand applications that can meet my needs. For example, with my smart phone I can study in the subway, traveling to my house at the beach, since it allows me to download classes and do homework from the drive or U-cursos.
I also use it a lot to listen to music in spotify, to watch series in netflix, Instragram, Whatssap, Facebook, zoom, gmail, etc. Moreover, I could occupy my smart phone when I get home, but I prefer a thousand times to occupy my smart phone.

I just hope my smartphone doesn't control me...

See you!

Why did you choose your career?

Hi, everybody! How are you? I hope you're well. Well, I'll tell you a little bit about myself. When I was a kid, I always wanted to be an astronaut, because I loved looking at the sky and seeing the stars. I also wanted to be a paleontologist, a veterinarian and a ballet dancer. I wanted to be everything!

My interest in agronomy began at the age of eight. my grandmother had an outdoor garden and a greenhouse. Also many fruit trees and a beehive. I helped my grandmother to plant and harvest her crops. I loved doing experiments with plants... I started studying biotechnology engineering. I wanted to know why plants are so great.  It's a wonderful profesion, but I didn't like being cooped up in a lab.

I decided to switch to agriculture, I felt it was almost the same but in freedom. Today I'm studying for a master's degree in oenology and viticulture.
I will only tell you that the future is very uncertain, and that knowledge opens many doors...

Well, I hope you liked my writing.

Biography

I was born in 1989, in San Miguel, Santiago. At 5:20 pm. I lived until I was eight years old in Peñaflor. Since my parents met in El Quisco, and my grandmother lived there, we moved to the beach. Until I was thirteen, I studied at the Colegio El Quisco. And in high school I moved to the Liceo Clara Solovera. I always liked living here, because we had fun trips to the beach. For me it was like being constantly in the summer. When I graduated from high school, I went to live in Viña del Mar, where I studied Biotechnology Engineering at  Universidad Andres Bello. In this place I lived with my older brother, and since he had to move to Santiago, I went with him. I kept studying the same career but in the faculty of Republica street. At that time I lived in San Miguel, with my younger brother too. Two years after leaving that university, i entered agriculture at the Universidad de Chile.
